About

Search Solution Focused Brief Therapy is a database that is intended to make finding solution focused literature more accessible to all researchers and clinicians. This database is focused primarily on providing information about the empirical evidence that supports SFBT. You will not find theoretical or philosophical articles here, but that does not mean these contributions aren't useful, but rather that these articles are beyond the scope of this database.

This database is the result of a collaborative effort and is an ongoing project. It is likely that this database is not fully comprehensive. Please know that no offense is intended if a particular article or study is not currently included. Because there is so much SF research being done around the world, the database will need to be updated regularly. PLEASE HELP US KEEP THIS DATABASE UPDATED! Please use this database to find articles and studies that interest you. Please let us know if you are aware of research or articles that are not included within the database. Please let us know when an article you are working on gets published. You can let us know by sending the article reference (and full article if possible), a link for where the article can be found, and the contact information for the author (if possible). This information can be sent via email to Dr. Adam Froerer at adam@thesfu.com. We will be adding new studies to the database regularly.

Due to copyright restrictions, we cannot distribute many of the articles. We hope that by pointing you in the right direction you will be able to access the articles and information you need. Because some of these articles are not available free of charge, we are also including as much information about how to contact the authors of the papers as possible. One good way to access research is to contact the author and ask them to send you a copy of their work. It is for this reason that we also ask authors to help us keep their contact information up to date. Please help us make the SF literature as available as possible! We want to thank each of the authors who contributed to the work that is included within this database. This impressive body of literature could not be possible without each of you and your contributions! A special thanks to Dr Adam Froerer, Evan Lawrence, Shirley Shani Ben-Zvi, and Cecil Walker who worked to construct this interactive database.

Let's keep building the evidence-base of Solution Focused Brief Therapy and the Solution Focused Approach!
